I have ordered lobsters multiple times from lobster boys. Ordered nine lobsters for Thanksgiving to have with dinner with guests. The shipment was delayed for an unknown reason and stuck in Memphis at FedEx. Finally received the order five days late. Needless to say they delivered nine smelly lobsters that went right into the trash.
Tried again last week and they screwed up the delivery date once again. Ended up getting them five days after I wanted them. Cooked two the first night and one was inedible. The meat liquefied and literally poured out of the lobster tail and claws. Lobster Boys agreed to refund the money for that one lobster.
Went to cook a third one one day after getting the lobsters. Stored it in the refrigerator as instructed, but it was dead… didn’t even last 24 hours after I got it. They refused to refund the money for the dead lobster because it was alive when I got it. The fact that it was $90 and inedible made no difference. Two out of three large jumbo lobsters were ruined… $180 down the drain.
Gave my friend, the other two large jumbos and he was unimpressed. Parts of the lobsters were not edible because they were too soft as well.
Between delivery issues, quality issues and now customer service issues. I can’t justify spending this kind of money for the result. I’m sorry, To Go because the first few times were great.
