The moral compass of the seafood world

Our lobsters are wild-caught in pristine North Atlantic waters off the coast of Nova Scotia, in partnership with licensed lobsterman hand-selected to join The Lobster Team™. These daring souls share our passion for the sea and a penchant for danger: The U.S. Department of Labor’s Bureau of Labor Statistics shows that commercial fishing is America’s most perilous occupation. We proudly support these local fishing communities and pay our lobstermen the utmost respect — always mindful that each harvest is a high stakes sport rivaling a championship match, representing the pinnacle of skill and courage.

Improving Sea Regulations

Improving Sea Regulations

Having witnessed firsthand the impacts of overfishing, careless by catch, and other consequences of human interference, we’re equally respectful of the ocean and its creatures. (It takes 7 years for a lobster to grow to harvestable size, and longer to reach peak flavor and quality.) Lobsterboys always operates in strict adherence to local regulations governing species protection; any creature below the minimum size or above the maximum size is immediately returned to its home in the sea.

Frequently Asked Questions

Minimum is 2 lobsters for size under 2 pounds. For size over 2 pounds, you can order just 1. But let’s be real—who eats just one lobster? We highly recommend two or more because sharing is caring (and more lobsters = more butter).

We get it—you want to do this the right way. The best method is quick and simple: take a sharp knife, locate the black line on top of the lobster’s head, and make a firm, decisive cut. It’s over in seconds. No drama, just deliciousness.

Nope! These are live lobsters—we can’t exactly take them back and give them a second chance at the ocean. No returns, no take-backs. If you have any concerns, check out our Refund Policy.
