Minimum is 2 lobsters for size under 2 pounds. For size over 2 pounds, you can order just 1. But let’s be real—who eats just one lobster? We highly recommend two or more because sharing is caring (and more lobsters = more butter).

We get it—you want to do this the right way. The best method is quick and simple: take a sharp knife, locate the black line on top of the lobster’s head, and make a firm, decisive cut. It’s over in seconds. No drama, just deliciousness.

Nope! These are live lobsters—we can’t exactly take them back and give them a second chance at the ocean. No returns, no take-backs. If you have any concerns, check out our Refund Policy.

It depends on size, but if you’re overcooking your lobster, we need to have a talk. A 2-pound lobster = 7 minutesin boiling water. That’s it. No more, no less. Just sweet, tender, and dripping in butter... but wait, what was your question again?

We ship live lobsters directly from our trusted lobstermen. Each order is carefully packaged to ensure the lobsters remain alive and as fresh as possible upon arrival.

If you encounter any issues with your lobsters, please document the condition with video and photos within 6 hours of delivery and send them to claims@lobsterboys.com. Make sure the video includes footage of the unopened box, breaking the original seal, and any damaged or immobile lobsters.

First, be home to welcome your new delicious guests. These are live lobsters—don’t leave them outside unless you want a neighborhood raccoon to have a fancy seafood dinner. Avoid extreme cold, direct sunlight, and curious pets. Our proprietary packaging keeps them fresh, but once they arrive, they’re your responsibility. Treat them well, and they’ll reward you with peak deliciousness.

You could… but should you? No.Freezing a live lobster puts it to sleep permanently, making it fragile and prone to breaking. You’ll end up with a clawless lobster tragedy, and nobody wants that.

Yes! But only after dispatching the lobster. Those claws aren’t just for show—they’re serious weapons. Remove the bands right before putting them in salted boiling water. And watch your fingers unless you want to explain to your friends why you lost a battle with a lobster.

No more than 24 hours! These are live lobsters, after all—not houseguests. Keep them in the box in the refrigerator. Speaking of water—do NOT put them in fresh water. They’ll drown. Yes, really. Curious why?

We wrote a whole blog about it here. Spoiler: Lobsters are picky about their water quality.Keep them cool, keep them damp, and most importantly—keep them off your dinner table until it’s go time.
